CONGRATULATIONS to the 2008 WFTDA Champions, Gotham Girls Roller Derby! The Northest Knockdown was the the 2008 Women's Flat Track Derby Association (WFTDA) Championship Tournament, co-hosted by Rose City Rollers and Rat City Rollergirls at the Portland Expo Center November 14-16. The Championship featured the top eight roller derby teams in the country who duked it out for the national title. The November championship followed Western Regionals, hosted by Houston Roller Derby October 3-5, and Eastern Regionals, hosted by the Mad Rollin' Dolls (Madison, Wisc.) October 10-12. The tournament featured amazing roller derby athleticism, a rich assortment of vendors and other entertainment. Many thanks to all that helped make this event happen. Friday, November 14
